Flower Sprouts are a new trend which is slowly catching up in the supermarket’s vegetables shelves. If it happens to you that you buy them and do not know how to use or cook them, try them first in a flower sprouts smoothie to get a sense of its taste. There is also banana and avocado added to this green flower sprout smoothie, which makes is better in its taste.
If you have no idea what the new superfood named flower sprouts is, it’s a cross between Brussels sprouts and kale. They are high in Vitamin B6 and C, and in my opinion, also very pretty. These new green veggies had been developed already 15 years ago, but nobody was really interested in them until recently. Tasting sweet and nutty, you can use them in many different ways in the kitchen.

Flower Sprouts Smoothie
Ingredients
- 1.5 cups (50g) flower sprouts
- 1 banana
- ½ avocado
- ⅞ cup (200ml) vanilla soy milk
- ½ cup (120ml) water
- a handful ice cubes
Instructions
- Put all ingredient together in a mixer and blend until smooth and creamy.
