Did you ever do your milk by yourself? No, so let me show you how to make nut milk at home with only two ingredients.
If you are vegan or are lactose intolerance, nut milk is an excellent alternative to cow milk.
Nowadays, there are already plenty of different alternative kinds of milk in the supermarket, but it does taste so much better if you do your nut milk at home. Not just for the fact that you know what’s inside, but also to feel proud of yourself to have something more in your cooking repertoire.
Now, let me show you how to make nut milk.
How to make Nut Milk – Homemade Hazelnut Milk
All you need is nuts, a nut bag, and a blender. Nutbags are a bit expensive, and you can’t buy them in every store. That’s why I used a laundry bag – you will find it in every supermarket. I bought mine in DM (my preferred drugstore in Germany), it comes with one small and one large bag for only 2 Euros ?. Use the small one for your milk and the larger one for your laundry. Make sure to wash it with some hot water before you are going to pour your nut milk trough it.
As you can store your homemade nut milk just for a few days in the fridge, it’s the best to drink it fast or make only little portions. If you do it a few times, you will see how easy it gets.
So let’s go to the recipe!
Soak the hazelnuts overnight in water
Squeeze and press all the hazelnut milk through a nut bag.
If you want to drink it like that or pour it into your coffee, I highly recommend that you are going to put your milk back to the blender, add following ingredients, blend it again and pour it into a glass bottle and store it in the fridge. Trust me, the taste will be much better ?
