Homemade nut milk is easy to make and a great vegan milk alternative. Let me show you how to make nut milk at home using almonds, cashew nuts, or hazelnuts.

    Homemade Nut Milk Recipe

Why Making And Drinking Nut Milk?

Nut milk is an excellent dairy-free alternative to cow milk. Either if you are vegan, lactose-intolerance, or want to cut down on dairy, this nut milk recipe is perfect for you. You only need nuts, water, a blender, and a nut milk bag.

You can choose every single day if you want to drink plant-based milk or cow milk. That’s why I will show you how to make nut milk at home with a few easy steps. You will be surprised how tasty cashew or almond milk is.

    How To Make Nut Milk

    • Soak the nuts overnight in cold water.
    • Rinse the nuts and blend with water in a high-speed mixer until creamy.
    • Pour the nut milk through a nut milk bag and squeeze all the liquid out.
    • Store your homemade nut milk in your fridge and drink within two days.

    Which Nuts To Choose?

You can make this nut milk recipe with every kind of nuts. My personal favorite is cashew nut milk, but almonds and hazelnuts work great too. Always stick with the measurements in the basic recipe if you try it out with your preferred nuts.

    Nut Milk Bag Alternative

You need to squeeze your nut milk through a nut milk bag for smooth milk. The nut milk bag keeps the pulp of the nut back, which you could use to make nut flour or other delicious recipes (Pinterest is full of ideas). However, nut milk bags are expensive and only available in specific stores. I like to use a laundry bag as an alternative, which is basically the same thing only ten times cheaper.

You could also use tights for separating the nuts! ?
