Instructions

Using a Food Processor

  • Remove the pits from dates. Place all ingredients in the bowl of a food processor and pulse until a fine and sticky dough forms. It doesn't need to be entirely smooth.
  • Use the palms of your hands to form the dough into small balls.
  • I recommend refrigerating the energy balls for 30 minutes to set. Otherwise, enjoy as is!

Using a Knife

  • Remove the pits from dates. Chop dates and almonds very fine.
  • Place chopped dates and almonds with the rest of the ingredients in a bowl and give it a stir using a spoon. Use your hands to mix it into a sticky "dough".
  • Go ahead with step number 2!

Notes

  1. I highly recommend using fresh medjool dates with stones. They are usually very soft and can easily be chopped. Especially important if you don't have a food processor and want to make the energy balls. Alternatively, soak dry dates for a few minutes in hot water. Drain and chop.
  2. Store them in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
  3. Keeps fresh for at least one week.
