Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Oven roasted Brussels sprouts make a perfect, easy side dish for the holidays. Plus, it only takes about 30-minutes to make them.

Ingredients
 

  • 1 lb (500 g) Brussels sprouts
  • 2 cloves garlic halved
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tbsp maple syrup
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper

Instructions
 

  • Preheat oven to 390°F (200°C).
  • Cut off the brown ends of the Brussels sprouts and pull off any yellow outer leaves. Wash them thoroughly.
  • Cut Brussels spouts in halves, and mix them with the garlic cloves, olive oil, maple syrup, salt, and pepper on a baking sheet.
  • Bake for 25 minutes, turning twice.

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven or a skillet, or use cold as a salad with your favorite salad dressing.
