Easy Homemade Pizza Sauce

Make your own easy homemade pizza sauce with this recipe! It only takes you 10 minutes and belongs on every pizza! Makes enough for 4 round pizzas or 2 large sheet pizzas!

Ingredients
 

  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 ½ cup (360 g)  tomato passata
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp salt
  • black pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • Heat a small pot with olive oil. Add garlic and sauté for one minute.
  • Add tomato passata, sugar, dried oregano, salt, and pepper. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat to low, and let it simmer for 5 minutes. 
  • Pour pizza sauce into a bowl/mason jar and let cool.

Notes

Store: You can store the pizza sauce in a mason jar in the refrigerator for a good week.
Freezing: Freeze pizza sauce for 3 months and either thaw it overnight in the refrigerator or in a pot over medium heat.
