A light strawberry vinaigrette to dress up your summer salad! Let me show how to make a basic strawberry vinaigrette and strawberry poppyseed dressing.

Ingredients
 

Strawberry Vinaigrette

  • 1 cup (150g) strawberries roughly chopped
  • cup (30ml) olive oil or water for an oil-free dressing
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar or lemon, lime juice
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or any other sugar
  • ¼ tsp salt

Strawberry Poppyseed Dressing

  • 1-2 tsp poppy seeds

Instructions
 

Strawberry Vinaigrette

  • Blend all ingredient in your food processor or immersion blender until you have a creamy dressing.

Strawberry Poppyseed Dressing

  • Prepare the strawberry vinaigrette according to the recipe above. Once mixed, add the poppy seeds and only pulse a few times until well combined (don't overmix, or the poppy seeds will be crushed).

Notes

  • Season it with fresh basil, garlic, or onion powder.
  • Best with fresh strawberries. Can be made with frozen ones, thaw them first for one hour on your countertop.
