  • If you want to use homemade roasted red peppers, start with this recipe: How to Roast Red Peppers. Use storebought roasted red peppers if you are short in time.
  • Blend all ingredients in your food processor until you have a smooth hummus. Add more aquafaba or water if you want to have an even smoother hummus.
  • Optional: Top it with olive oil, roasted red peppers, and sesame seeds.

Notes

  • Aquafaba is the water in which the chickpeas are stored and makes your hummus extra fluffy. It can also be used as a vegan substitute for egg white. 
  • Using sweet red pepper gives this hummus a delicious sweet taste.
