Baked Feta Pasta – the viral TikTok pasta trend! Proudly present my version with feta cheese, cherry tomatoes, and some extra spinach!
If you are a real foodie, this one didn’t get past you – the latest trend in the food scene is: Baked Feta Past! Oh, boy, is this pasta dish famous! It seems like TikTok has recently become the social media platform that is shaking up the international food scene and setting the latest trends.
Looking back to summer 2020, Dalgona coffee went through the roof thanks to TikTok. In 2021 it’s Baked Feta Pasta! Famous like hell – the whole internet is speaking about it!
Now, what is it exactly? It is a super creamy, delicious, quick, and easy pasta recipe with feta cheese, cherry tomatoes, chili, and a generous splash of olive oil – Invented by the Finnish Blogger Liemessa.
All you need to do is place a block of feta cheese and cherry tomatoes in a baking dish, sprinkle with finely sliced chili, and drizzle the whole thing with olive oil! Bake it for 30 minutes until the tomatoes are roasted and super juicy and the feta cheese is soft and creamy.
This 30-minute window gives you enough time to cook a pot of pasta al dente – toss them directly in the baking with the feta, and your miracle pasta dish is ready! What a perfect dinner recipe – cooked in no time with minimal washing up involved. I love to serve it with this simple green salad.
Spinach Feta Pasta
Feta lovers watch out – you are going to love this recipe, I promise! I’ve slightly modified the original version and added some spinach into the mix! Extra veggies, extra nutrients, extra flavor – what more could you ask for?
Plus, I skipped the garlic from the original recipe, making it digestive friendlier and suitable for a low FODMAP diet if you use gluten-free pasta and omit the chili.
If you like this baked pasta with feta cheese, you will also like this quick roasted cherry tomato pasta recipe! Basically the same, but without feta and therefore vegan!
