    Rose Milk Tea Comfort Drink

When the days start to get shorter and colder, you know winter is slowly making his way to us. And precisely for these days, I created for you this hot comfort drink aka rose and black tea latte recipe.

This rose latte recipe is perfectly enjoyable on lazy Sundays or when you are coming home after a stressful day at work. Holding this delicious black tea latte in your hands and smelling the pleasant scent of rose makes you feel calm and relaxed.

Black Tea Recipe with Milk – Is that a thing?

The majority of people here in Switzerland don’t drink black tea with milk. It was the English influence of my coworkers from London who taught me that a cup of black tea tastes so much better with milk in it.

If you are a black tea with milk newbie, please give it a try and let me show you how to make rose tea with milk actually delicious.

Since I don’t drink cow milk anymore, I prefer to make this blossoming rose tea latte with oat milk. It’s up to you which kind of milk you choose. Cow milk or any plant-based one works.

If you choose the later, I can highly suggest you choose a barista version. Vegan barista milk (mostly made with soy or oat milk), leaves you with an excellent nice foam on this rose water tea, just as you are used to from Starbucks.

    Where To Buy Rose Water?

You can find rose water in almost every Asian shop, the Asian section of a supermarket. or on Amazon. As an alternative, you can use one tea bag of rose tea or loose rose tea and steep it with the black tea.

How To Make Rose & Black Tea Latte?

    • Boil water and steep a black tea bag for 3-5 minutes.
    • Mix in honey and rose water.
    • Foam milk in a milk frother and add it to your tea.
    • Enjoy your rose milk tea while hot.
    • VEGAN: Use plant-based milk and substitute the honey with coconut sugar.

I absolutely loved this recipe! Personally, I had to add more honey cause I like it sweet, but that’s just a personal preference. Thank you for sharing this recipe! 🙂

This tea is amazing! I wanted to find a replacement for a favorite black tea with rosebuds that I can’t get anymore, and this has the same lovely aroma and light flavor. I can now use decaf tea to make it which is a better option for me. Thank you for sharing this recipe!

I am so happy to hear that you love this tea and that you finally found a replacement, Trish. Super annoying if they stop to sell your preferred product! Enjoy your tea Trish and have a wonderful day!
        All the best,
        Aline
